Haiti

Part A:

After Haiti had the earth quake, I did not realized that so many people died and suffered.

I felt really sorry for them and I decided to think more about Haiti. In Haiti, lots of houses

were crashed and inside there were people and died. Some people lost their families. I hope many people will know more about Haiti and help and donate for them.

Part B:

In global issues class, I played a game called Ayiti-Cost of Life, which was about Haiti.
When I first played this game, it was quite hard for me because I really had to think in long term to be successful in this game. If I would describe this game to my friends, I would tell them that it is a very educational game to learn about Haiti. I learned that how Haiti has many serious problems through playing this game. There were three primary objectives and these were happiness, money and education. I chose 'Happiness' because I thought if they were happy enough, I was sure that they could live happier even they did not have enough money. While I was playing the game, it was stressful for me because I really had to think a lot to make them happy. If i have next chance to play it, I would like to choose other object to play the game differently.

Stop Killing the Sharks.(Reflection)

Knowing about sharks made me so depressed. I really did not know that sharks get killed everyday single day. In our global issue class, we made a decision to tell people how it was disgusting. I am sure some people still eat sharks fins without feeling of sadness. In our class, we had many activities to invite people and show how sharks are poor.

The first activity was showing the movie about being sharks killed. It was so horrible and some people felt sorry for them. In addition, we sold cookies that looked like sharks. Also we sold drinks and the color was really red to show it was sharks' bloods. Lots of people bought it and they thought about sharks while they were eating it. Besides, we taught a game about hunting sharks on the sea. There was a huge poster and we put toy boats and sharks. Some people liked to play and we kept telling how they were died.

Lots of people came to our class and participated with us. They had many questions and I tried to give good answers for them. I liked the way people were interested in sharks.

I have learned lots of things during the class. I had not cared about eating sharks. To my regret, I ate a shark fin when I was young. It was so delicious so I thought eating sharks fins was great. However, I still feel sorry for them. They are killed without any reasons. I hope people learned something from our global issue class. I want many people to stop eating sharks.

Stop the Killing !

In our global issue class, we have learned about sharks. I had not known that lots of people liked to eat sharks fins. It was so disgusting and cruel when they got killed by humans. I really felt sorry for them. In our class, we were determined to do activities in the class. I am sure lots of people will come and participate with us.

First of all, we would like to sell cookies and drinks to people. They will keep thinking of sharks while they are eating. Moreover, we will show the video of sharks. People will see it and feel bad for them. Our classmates will explain about playing a game. They make a huge poster and put sharks and boats toys. We are helping one another to success our big project.

I really hope many people come to our class and learn something from us.

Malaysia Week

After coming back from Malaysia week(Kuala Gandah), I realized that it was absolutely related with global issues. When I got there, people tried not to use plastic bags in the jungle. That just made jungle dirty and gross. I learned lots of things while I was in jungle. Maybe next time, I would like to chose an ocean site and I am sure there are lots of garbage. I want to learn more about garbage in the ocean. I was so content with my site that I leaned several things that is related with global issues.

What Is Global Issue?

Global Issues are problems that people live in poverty. By solving this problems, the world will become much better place for everyone and equal. Yet, It is going to take time to be together and help one another. What all we need to do is thinking more about global issues and help people who are in serious problem. We must save the world and people. That is the way people can live happily and equally.

After Watching G.I Video

After I watched a video called 'G.I' on the youtube, I felt so sorry for the people who were in poverty. Moreover, the background music made me so depressed since sound was very low and slow. I thought I was lucky to born in my parents. I really need to think more about poverty in the world. I did not realize that there are lots of people who do not have enough money and food to survive.

From now on, I need to think and take care more about poverty in the world.

What is Poverty?

Poverty is about not having enough money to meet basic needs including food, clothing and shelter. However, poverty is more, much more than just not having enough money.

Living in poverty is very a serious problem. We must take care and help one another.
This is unfair to not be equal in the world. We have to think deeply about this problem.
Then I am sure everyone can live happily.
